The Danish government has announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth 783 million Danish kroner (about $115.8 million).
It includes funds for the acquisition of new military equipment through the Ukrainian Defense Industry and Industrial Pool, as well as equipment donations through international partners.
Putin continues to relentlessly carry out brutal and bloody attacks on Ukrainians. It is important that Denmark continues to support Ukraine so that they can defend themselves. This 20th military support package has been tailored to Ukraine’s wishes and needs and should support Ukraine both in the short term and in the coming years, said Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
The central focus of the package is financial contributions, including for the defense industry, which have been increased by $44 million in 2024. Another $16 million has been allocated in 2024 to finance purchases through Ukrainian defense enterprises.
Importantly, part of the new aid package will be an increase in the industrial pool by CZK 300 million in 2024, which will strengthen the Ukrainian defense industry. An additional CZK 112 million will be allocated to finance purchases through Ukrainian defense enterprises.
