Perry died in October 2023 of an overdose of ketamine and received several injections from a personal assistant on the day of his death.

The US Attorney’s Office has charged five people, including the actor’s assistant Matthew Perry and two doctors, in connection with the actor’s death in 2023. The AP reported this.

Prosecutor Martin Estrada said doctors gave Perry copious amounts of ketamine, even discussing in text messages how much the actor was willing to pay. “These defendants took advantage of Perry’s addiction to get rich. They know what they are doing is wrong,” Estrada said.

He also noted that the defendants tried to hide their role in providing ketamine to Perry, who died in October 2023 from an overdose of the substance. Two of the defendants, including the doctor, were arrested, while Perry’s assistant and another defendant pleaded guilty. Perry’s live-in assistant gave him several injections on the day of his death and found the actor dead in the jacuzzi.

It was previously reported that Los Angeles police investigating the death of Matthew Perry were on the trail of underground drug trafficking in Hollywood.
