A documentary about Jamal and the war in Ukraine was released in the USA. On the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Voice of America TV channel showed Jamal’s film: Songs of Freedom.
This is a story about the path on which the singer’s personal struggle began: it includes recordings from his phone in the first days of a mass attack, his appeals and videos recorded inside of two years of war, the story of the singer’s creative path and his powerful speeches with requests to support Ukraine at concert venues and official events in which he took part.
The world premiere of Jamal: Songs of Freedom took place on February 24, 2024. In addition to the Voice of America platform, the film will be available on 52 other online platforms for viewing documentaries starting March 4.
