The Yangwang U9, priced at $233,450, is intended for the Chinese market.
Chinese automaker BYD has unveiled the Yangwang U9 luxury electric supercar. It should be a competitor to Ferrari and Lamborghini. Bloomberg reported this.
The car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.36 seconds and reach a top speed of 309.19 km/h.
Yangwang currently has one production model, the U8 luxury SUV, priced at 1.1 million yuan. By the end of January, the company had delivered 3,653 vehicles.
BYD has become the world’s largest seller of electric vehicles, surpassing Tesla in the last quarter of 2023.
Although it is best known for making affordable electric cars, the company sells its luxury models under the Yangwang and Fang Cheng Bao brands.
We remind you that the market for electric cars in Ukraine has almost tripled over the year. In December 2023, the Ukrainian car fleet was filled with more than 4.6 thousand battery-powered vehicles (BEV), which is almost three times more than a year ago. Of this amount, over 4.5 thousand are passenger cars and 78 are commercial electric vehicles.
