The Poles are expanding their protests. This week they plan to block the border checkpoint with Lithuania.
On March 1, Polish farmers plan to block the Lithuanian border checkpoint and check all vehicles that can deliver Ukrainian agricultural products. This was announced by the co-organizer of the Lithuanian border protest, Karolis Pechenskins, writes LRT.
According to him, the protesters plan to carry out checks at the checkpoint between the Lithuanian city of Kalwaria and the Polish Buddisk. The protest is scheduled to begin at 10:00 on March 1.
“This blockade at the border checkpoint will not be complete. We, the farmers, like the Polish authorities, want to check what is being carried in the trucks. We will be especially sensitive to vehicles carrying agricultural product,” Pechenskins said.
At the same time, the protesters promise not to stop cars, fuel tankers, industrial cargo, or livestock trucks.
We remind you that today Polish farmers blocked the German border checkpoint near Frankfurt an der Oder.
As you know, Polish farmers’ protests continue on the Ukrainian border. Protest participants systematically spread Ukrainian agricultural products.
