The man was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare autoimmune disease characterized by the destruction of the nervous system.
Ukrainian TV presenter and blogger Bogdan Sheludyak said that he overcame the disease, but still has to deal with some of the consequences of Guillain-Barré syndrome. This was reported by the New Channel press service.
“I feel better! We can say we stopped and the pain is cured. Now I am struggling with the consequences. But they are not critical,” he said.
According to the showman, he was luckier than other people who were also diagnosed with this rare disease, because his legs did not fail completely. His vision and speech also quickly returned to normal.
“Sometimes people have to learn to walk again after this disease. Thank God, I don’t have it. All that remains is a slight numbness in the feet. Sometimes the condition is like a little drunk or hyperfatigue. After prolonged activity , a bit of a headache. Almost 100% recovery of vision and speech,” he added.
At the same time, Bohdan Sheludyak said that he does not need special rehabilitation. He continues to take medicine and gradually recovers.
“Now I continue to work and establish neural and nerve connections, I take pills for this. I understand that some nuances can take a long time. But it does not depend on me, so I just let it go to recover my body. Fortunately, I did not need specific rehabilitation. Because we started treatment on time and correctly. You can say that we are lucky that all the drugs are at hand, and there is no need to order or look for them and wait,” the TV presenter concluded.
