Prince Harry turned down an invitation to his father King Charles’ 75th birthday. The reason for this is the “tense relationship” between the Duke of Sussex and the monarch. The Daily Mail reported this.
According to the source, the king of Britain was disappointed after the scandalous memoirs of his son, Spare, were released. (Backup option). There he wrote: “I have complicated feelings about my stepmother, who, it seems to me, recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.”
Although the Duke attended his father’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in May, his relationship with King Charles remains strained – the royal family did not publicly mark his birthday in September.
It should be noted that this is the second time Harry has turned down the chance to be with his father. In September, he declined the king’s invitation to join him at Balmoral for the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death, despite visiting California.
