It’s no secret that prejudice exists, right? Some disguised and others not so much. The digital influencer Brenno Faustino revealed that he had been a victim of prejudice since his childhood
“For as long as I can remember, I have suffered prejudice, people have always picked on my voice, the way I walk, talk, what I like to play and who I like to be with”, vented.
According to the young man, there was a time when he tried not to accept being LGBTQIAPN+, because he heard so much that his behavior was wrong or that he was not being faithful to the rules imposed by God. “They told me a lot about God, about being gay, that it was a sin and that I should never be gay. They’ve even said that if I were gay I wouldn’t be anyone in life.”he revealed.
For Brenno, the primary factor in understanding himself was having the affection and defense of his family. “Whenever someone tried to offend me or diminish me for being gay, even when I was just a child, who didn’t even know anything about being or not being something, my family defended me tooth and nail. When I was a teenager, I prayed every day that I wouldn’t be disgraced by my family, because I was afraid of what people would say. And in the end, I managed to overcome my fear and understand who I really am, to face everything I have to face. Today, I have been in a relationship for years and my family accepts, respects and supports me, if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be the man I am today, free and feisty”, finished.
