The journalist Bianca Chaboudetreporter for Inter TV, a TV Globo affiliate in Rio de Janeiro, went through a desperate moment.
This Monday, the 2nd, during a live report on the news program RJ2, a man tried to kiss her by force.
In the video, the boy tried to touch the journalist’s face when he was pushed away by her with his arm. When he didn’t get what he wanted, the man left.
Visibly, Bianca was shaken by the situation and faced difficulties in continuing her report, which talked about Civil Defense action against drownings in Maricá, in Rio de Janeiro.
On her social media profile, Bianca opened up about what happened. She said she had never been in this situation.
“‘Ah, but it was on my face’ Only I know how much it destabilized me to continue the news. My legs felt wobbly. He even stopped behind my equipment and said a few more things that I couldn’t hear because I continued the news. It was a horrible feeling”she said.
Bianca thanked her colleagues for their support in this delicate situation: “I want to say a huge thank you to photographer Julius Costas who ran out of where he was to see if I was okay. To my friends who were presenting and coordinating the newspaper, and who immediately sent me a message.”
The broadcaster issued a statement of repudiation, saying that it is providing support to the journalist and will take the necessary measures.
