A non-standard 1988 VAZ-2105 was created in the USA. With the help of tuning, an old Soviet sedan has been turned into an extreme sports car, reports Bring a Trailer.
In 2016, the car was delivered to the United States from Hungary. There, American workers installed a 3.0-liter Toyota 2JZ-GTE engine under the hood, adding a six with a Garrett GTX358s turbine and a sports exhaust.
The car received a six-speed manual transmission from a Nissan 350Z and a final drive from Ford.
And also – electric power steering, a completely new suspension and disc brakes on all wheels.
In addition, the bumpers were removed from the Lada 2105, but a rear spoiler and arch extension were added. This way the model fits 17-inch wheels. The glass was replaced with acrylic.
The interior is equipped with OMR sports bucket seats.
