5 foods that contribute to skin care

And it was with this in mind that nutritionist Mônica Symphoroso, who works on GetNinjas, the largest service contracting application in Brazil, selected some foods that, when consumed, nourish the skin and body. 1. Oats and water

Having proper intestinal health is important for the well-being of the skin and the entire body. “If the person does not have a bowel that functions daily, there is an absorption of toxins that influence the skin and health as a whole”, explains Mônica. In addition, the professional points out that the proper functioning of the organ provides better absorption of nutrients that, consequently, will be good for the skin. The solution is to adopt fiber consumption, present in oatin addition to drinking more water.

2. Colorless gelatin

Due to vitamin K and folate, food improves the appearance of the skin and minimizes spots such as bruises and dark circles. For the nutritionist, the ideal is that the spinach is consumed raw so that the nutrients don’t get lost in the cooking.

4. Carrot

For those who don’t give up tanned, the consumption of carrots is indicated. The recommendation is justified by the concentration of beta-carotene present in this vegetable. This substance contributes to the production of melanin and acts as a reflector of UVA and UVB rays, protecting the skin.

5. Tomato

Lycopene, an antioxidant substance, is responsible for the reddish color of fruit; it also delays the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes and acts as a natural sunscreen.
