From the beginning of the war, the parents asked the artist to return to his homeland. To calm them down, he left for a week, then returned.

TVORCHI lead singer, Geoffrey Kenny, who is a Nigerian citizen, has revealed why he has not left the country since the full Russian invasion began. He said this in an interview with Elena Kravets.

According to the artist, his life is in Ukraine, because his team and people who believe in him are here, so there is no thought of leaving somewhere.

“When it all started, my parents were very confused. They are in Nigeria now, they said: “Jeffrey, you don’t know what war is.” I said: “Keep quiet, while everyone is quiet.” I left for one week, come back. Because my team is in Ukraine, our listeners, the people who believe in me. I don’t want to go anywhere, because my life is here,” he said.

It was previously reported that TVORCHI lead singer Jeffrey Kenny responded to criticism regarding his command of the Ukrainian language.

Ukraine at Eurovision next year will be represented by Tvorchi
