Brazil releases quarantine for unvaccinated people who enter the country

Another new easing measure also involves vaccinated people arriving in Brazil

People who arrive in Brazil who are not vaccinated will be able to enter the country without being required to be quarantined.. This is what the new measure of the federal government says, published last Friday, 01, in the Official Gazette of the Union. On the 23rd of March, the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) recommended the sanitary measure for those who are not immunized from May 1st.

COVID-19 TEST IS NO LONGER MANDATORY FOR VACCINATED WHO ENTER BRAZIL

Another change also involves vaccinated travelers, who no longer need to present a covid-19 test to enter the country.. This measure was also recommended by Anvisa, but not at this time, as it is still necessary to observe the duration of protection of immunizers, in addition to the “possibility of the outbreak’s seasonality, with a long-term impact and need for adaptation”.

What was maintained in this new measure of flexibility by the federal government was the requirement for proof of vaccination and a negative PCR test of at least 24 hours for those who were not vaccinated.. According to Anvisa, the agency’s guidelines may be revised amid a change in the epidemiological scenario in the country or “in view of the need to adopt sanitary measures at borders to safeguard the health of the population”.

Brazil has 660,269 deaths from covid-19. On Sunday, 03, 77 deaths were recorded, in which the average of fatal cases was 192 during the last seven days.
