Jacob Batolon is the actor who plays Ned, Petter Parker’s best friend in Tom Holland’s web movies.
‘Spider-Man: No Return Home’ was released four months ago and since then, several theories about the film have emerged. One of them is that Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), Peter Parker’s best friend in the trilogy directed by Jon Wattscould become the Hobgoblin, one of the web’s enemies.
The hypothesis gained strength among fans of the franchise after the film’s premiere, where in one of the scenes, versions of Spider-Man played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reveal to Ned that his best friends have become great villains. Discovering the fact, Ned is shaken and promises Peter Tom Holland who won’t “turn into a supervillain and try to kill him”.
Therefore, the time has come to Jacob Batalon being asked about the possibility by Variety, where the actor tried to mislead about what might happen to his character in the future of the MCU:
“In all these years working with Marvel, I feel like I’ve learned that I’m not supposed to say anything. I can’t really talk about things and end up saying something that could be true in the future and, as a result, ruin the experience, you know?” , said Batalon.
The Hobgoblin is a villain created as an alternate version of the Green Goblin in the comics. Among the people who wore his costume, Robert Kingsley stands out and he is responsible for making Ned Leeds assume the villain’s identity after brainwashing.
‘Spider-Man: No Return Home’ is expected to arrive on streaming later this year, through HBO Max and is now available for rent and purchase on major digital platforms.
