As of March 10, there have been almost 680 million cases and at least 7 million deaths worldwide, according to figures compiled by Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, United States). Within three years, Covid will cover the entire planet and mostly unorganized societies. Is it finally over? Or should we fear a resurgence of the epidemic in the fall? As expected, new versions continue to circulate, under close monitoring to ensure they don’t become more dangerous. This does not seem to be the case at the moment. And the vaccines, of which more than 13 billion doses have been administered worldwide (as of last March), appear to be doing their part to bring the world out of crisis.
So should we still fear Covid? Is it possible that a new wave will sweep France and once again flood our hospitals? Or the new vaccination campaign, like the treatment now…
