D:r: Moumouni KINDA. – We always come for a specific purpose: high prevalence of malnutrition, epidemic crisis, humanitarian needs related to population displacement due to conflict or extreme climatic events… For example, in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, we have deployed mobile clinics in refugee camps for dehydration, to treat cases of diarrhea or cholera and to provide booster shots for children. Because our long-term goal is always to strengthen the local health system, we recruit and train doctors, nurses and logisticians locally. We also build links with communities and local actors to develop preventive actions with an emphasis on child and pregnant women’s health.
