Celine Tran. – English psychologist Paul Gilbert, who has written extensively on empathy, described three emotional systems that regulate us. The first framework is threat detection. It helps us protect ourselves from danger and survive. It is thanks to him that the human being still exists, but at the basis of him lies fear, stress, anger, disgust. If this mode is overactivated, we move toward anxiety-provoking thoughts that are harmful to physical and mental health. The second circuit is the reward system: desire, excitement, pleasure.
