On Saturday night, there was a loud explosion at the warehouse of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan. The department announced this on Telegram on the morning of October 22.
“At 04:55, an explosion occurred in the warehouse of the Ministry of Defense in the village of Malik, Syrdarya region, there were no victims or injuries. An investigation is currently underway,” said the short message.
Meanwhile, videos emerged on social media showing a bright flash, followed by several seconds of a loud sound and shockwave. Local residents wrote that they felt a concussion similar to an earthquake. Glass in many houses and shops were broken, some constructions were destroyed.
