Kokoro Book Festival the first event that brings the stars together youth literature with the world’s most engaged readers, in a format that breaks the mold of traditional literary fairs. Its first edition will take place from 28 October to 1 November at the Dibós Coliseum in Lima, where, in addition to book sales and exhibitions, we aim to offer events that evoke emotions for a young reading public.

The cultural program will consist of concerts, costume contests, dance tournaments, talks, workshops and, above all, the presence of great international stars of children’s literature, as well as spaces where readers will find immersive experiences and rooms to share with their idols. ways.

Through joint efforts with various publishers, we have been able to confirm the presence of some of the most important international authors of this generation, whose stories reach millions of readers around the world: Darlis Stefani (Venezuela), Elena Lopez (Mexico). , Lily del Pilar (Chile), Melissa Ibarra (Mexico), Angie Ocampo (Colombia) and Sara Mendez (Venezuela). In addition, the works of national writers such as Spain-based Cynthia Huerta and Clemencia Granados, a novelist who has made her way into the Peruvian literary industry, will be promoted.

In this context, new writers have emerged from outside official circles approved by academia, critics, or mainstream media and have found direct access to young readers, becoming new benchmarks for literary creativity to a point of adjustment between We are all experiencing a moment like never before: the boom in children’s literature. In this sense, giving young people a space where they can share their interests is and should be the goal of the cultural industry.
