The actress and activist returns to her iconic role as an ’80s sports trainer for the Swedish brand’s new sportswear line.
You can be 84 and still be (very) active, Jane Fonda is living proof of that. The Oscar-winning actress aims to once again make sports accessible to as many people as possible, taking part in the very dynamic H&M Move advertising campaign, which promotes a new line of unisex clothing designed mainly for running and fitness.
Jane Fonda for H&M Move
The Swedish brand wants to address all body types and aims to target the youth. He invites everyone to move more and stay healthy. This inaugural campaign shows us a lithe and toned Jane Fonda in stylish clothing designed for ease and movement. She is joined by choreographer Jaquell Knight, responsible for several Superbowl shows, to guide her through this cross-generational training. “Exercise has kept me fit and healthy my whole life,” he says in the introduction to the video. “You should always try to move and grow.”
Fitness icon Jane Fonda released her first VHS workout in 1982 Jane Fonda’s workout, one of the best-selling videos of all time. He then democratized aerobics as a discipline in his iconic fluorescent shoots, already encouraging people to move en masse. “Sportswear helps because it sets this moment apart from the rest of the day and gives it more meaning,” she told a fitness book at the time.

“I have spent most of my life moving people and was naturally drawn to H&M Move’s mission to move the world (…). It’s about giving your body the movement it needs to stay healthy so it can take care of you,” she says today.
To reduce the impact on the environment, the H&M Group aims to have 100% of its materials either recycled or more sustainably sourced by 2030.
