Danielle, from NJZ (Newjeans), expressed what were the group’s reactions with the court’s decision regarding the activities of the formation away from the ador
In an interview with BBC Korea released on Wednesday, the NJZ (Newjeans), spoke about the injunction that determines that the group cannot follow independent activities such as NJZ, which was approved by the Central District Court of Seoul on March 21.
This is because, while awaiting the result of the process that will affirm or deny the validity of the group’s contracts with the ador after allegations of poor management, bullying in the workplace and media defamation, the company will remain managing the group in order to “preserve the status of the agency and prohibit the signing of advertising contracts”.
It turns out that in November last year, the members had stated that the bond with the ador had been broken after contractual breaks related to the allegations mentioned above, leading them to do interviews and presentations by the name NJZ.
Therefore, Danielle He stated that the court’s ruling surprised the group, as they expected the verdict to follow a opposite way, and argue that the NJZ would be the way they would continue on the stage, distancing themselves from the controversies of the case.
“Obviously I expected alternative results, so I think it was a time when we all got shocked,” he started explaining. “I think we really wanted to be able to work. And being able to do the work we love, without these misleading lies and false disturbing.”
In another moment, Danielle He also exposed how difficult it was for her to deal with the case exposure when the news won spotlight over the last year.
“I don’t know, I really tried to be quiet about everything, just trying to ignore, I feel that I’m about to explode and to break my heart in a way,” said Danielle.
The judicial process that will define the destination of the NJZ (Newjeans) next to or separated from Hybe has the first hearing scheduled for the day to April 3.
