Tito Silva Music has come out to clarify his situation regarding “Mi bebito fiu fiu”, a song that has recently gone viral in most Spanish-speaking countries, and whose melody is taken from Dido and Stan’s “Thank You” by Eminem.
Given the growing rumors of an alleged lawsuit by Sony, the Peruvian musician asked to calm down through his social networks: “I’m going to explain what happened. First of all, please calm down. We already had a cool conversation with the people who manage the rights to the original song.”
Tito Silva explained that he did not film “Mi bebito fiu fiu” due to copyright.
Thereafter Titus Silva explained that he did not refuse “My baby fiu fiu” for a copyright question, but for the content of a song linked to political figures, and explained what people who see these issues have told him:
“They understand that this is a parody, but it is a parody with a Peruvian political context, and I think that this may cause them some discomfort. I understand it, I understand it, and I share it.”
