5 films that emerged from Disney Channel series

Check out some original Disney Channel films that emerged through classic series from the renowned channel that will be unavailable in Brazil in 2025

From February 2025, Disney Channel will no longer be available in the pay television channel catalog in Brazil. The information was revealed by Disney itself last Monday, the 2nd, where it also confirmed that broadcasters such as Star Channel, FX, Nat Geo, Cinecanal and Baby TV will also come to an end at the same time.

In a statement, The Walt Disney Company said the decision is in response to “transformations in the local media landscape.”

“In response to the transformations in the local media and entertainment landscape, and to ensure that we continue to evolve and meet the needs of our consumers with agility and innovation, we have decided to discontinue the operation of some linear channels in Brazil from February 28, 2025 “, says the note. “This decision includes the closure of Star Channel, Cinecanal, FX, National Geographic, Disney Channel and Baby TV, without impacting our sports channels.”

Since its creation in the 1980s, Disney Channel has been responsible for creating films and series that have impacted the lives of thousands of children and young people around the world. Among its great original hits are titles such as “Camp Rock”, “Sunny Entre Estrelas”, “Hannah Montana”, “Wizards of Waverly Place”, “That’s So Raven”, “High School Musical”, among others.

In fact, a method widely used by the studio for decades was to develop films based on successful series, as a kind of spin-off — and RECREIO will present you 5 of them now. Check it out!
