In an email, ADOR CEO, Ju Young Kim, requested a face-to-face meeting with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein, members of NewJeans
This Friday, the 29th, the email issued by the CEO of ADOR was officially released, KIm Ju Young, regarding the legal notice sent by the girl group NewJeans on November 13th alleging contractual violations between the company and the group.
The CEO expresses frustration at not knowing and resolving the issues required by the group in person, in addition to reinforcing that the company felt that the two weeks allocated was too short a time to create solutions to the demand, but that they still tried.
“I had hoped to meet them in person at least once in the two weeks since I received the letter of intent. Unfortunately, I have to send an email like this instead of meeting in person. The ADOR team is in a state of frustration and sadness in the last 14 days.
Since NewJeans were our only artists, some employees were anxious about the situation. However, we do not forget our duty as a group agency. We examine members’ demands and prepare a response to them.
There were some parts that ADOR did not or could not take direct action on, and we felt that two weeks was too short, but we did our best with the time given through discussions and confirmations with the company.”
Kim concluded by reaffirming the desire to meet the members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein personally.
“I emailed my response to the members at around 4pm today (November 28th South Korean time) and was unable to email the response attached because I was busy with meetings. I heard that you will a press conference at 8:30 p.m. I hope our response clears up any misunderstandings.
If possible, I would like to meet in person to discuss this. Please take some time to think about this while you are in Japan and let me know your schedule. I will also tune in to your press conference today.”
Finally, the CEO of ADOR cited the planning they had in relation to NewJeans activities next year, in addition to revealing a conversation with the CEO of HYBE Corporation about sparing no effort to promote the group.
“Our company has been working hard to prepare for next year’s activities and the album concept. Unfortunately, Min Hee Jin informed us last week that she could not work with ADOR. Although we only had a week, our situation was too urgent to be disappointed.
Of course, our doors are always open, and if Min Hee Jin changes her mind and returns, that would be for the best. I received the report on the group’s plans and album concept for next year, and if the members are willing to participate, I have no doubt that we will create songs that include their sincerity and show their colors.
The most surprising part of receiving the letter was that the members were worried that they would be neglected without any plan. However, HYBE CEO Lee Jae Sang contacted me today (28 November) and revealed that he would not spare any support on a global level based on HYBE’s capabilities.”
