In January 2023, 26-year-old Kate explained on TikTok that she ordered a sweater from the Ami Paris brand on Vinted for 170 euros. A golden deal when we know that this model, called “Ami de Cœur”, is sold in stores for 380 euros. “An invoice was also sent in the package as a proof of authenticity,” he says in his video. But when he receives it, the material of the sweater is questionable. The label says “100% cotton” and the invoice says “100% wool”. “So I go to the Ami store, who assures me in two seconds that it’s fake.” In the process, he opened a dispute with Vinted, but failed due to lack of evidence… And decided to return the package to the seller at his own expense.
