In a document, HYBE comments on LE SSERAFIM lip-sync rumors

In the last week, HYBE’s internal documents titled “music industry report”, released for the first time in the audit of the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, carried out on October 24, have been making headlines in numerous media outlets, due to the malicious comments found in the text directed at numerous artists in the K-pop industry.

This Friday, the 1st, an employee of the conglomerate released new pages of the document, where it is possible to see a new series of comments about groups not only from other companies, but also from subsidiary agencies of HYBE itself, such as LE SSERAFIM, girl group which is part of the Source Music label.

In the text, in addition to criticizing the behavior of Eunchaemaknae of the group, where they accuse the artist of causing jealousy and dissatisfaction by acting “excessively” like the youngest in the group, it was also possible to find comments confirming the rumors that, in some performances, the girl group used the lip-sync technique (dubbing), without singing the songs live.

In part of the document, shared by Koreaboo, HYBE comments on the criticism received by LE SSERAFIM after their performance at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards, popularly known simply as AAA, where they were accused of lip-syncing.

“As for your stages, after the challenging conditions of MAMA, the composition is becoming clearer, and reactions have improved. However, there are still some downsides to the issue of lip-syncing, which has drawn criticism, even at AAA, for not performing live.”

It is worth remembering that, although LE SSERAFIM has been the target of lip-sync rumors in recent months, the female group has been praised on social media for recent performances where it is possible to hear their voices live, without any hint of dubbing.
