It’s been five years since Jean-Paul, 67, and Marie, 63, have owned the architect-designed villa in the inner city of Nice. Includes a 200m2 master suite, three bedrooms and as many bathrooms, summer kitchen, swimming pool and landscaped garden. After a long and persistent career in Paris, “not counting our hours, each of which cost us a divorce,” the former finance executive and former senior civil servant made this vacation home their primary residence after early retirement in 2021. Since then, between two local associate BAs, they enjoyed endless vacations. Morning bike or Nordic walk; afternoon relaxation, shopping or trips to the beach; Beautiful Riviera seafood tables or barbecues washed down with fine wines, often with neighbors in the evening.
