Min Hee Jin was removed from her position as CEO of ADOR, the HYBE subsidiary responsible for managing NewJeans activities, in August
The businesswomanMin Hee Jin claimed in an interview with JoongAng Ilbo (via Koreaboo), that the HYBE conglomerate offered her money in order for her to resign from the position of CEO she held at one of the company’s subsidiaries, ADOR.
The statement came when she was asked about the motivation for the conflict with HYBE, as the portal asked if this happened due to a share purchase option worth ₩100 billion KRW (about R$414 million), when which she responded by stating that the company wanted to pay her to leave her executive director position.
“After winning the injunction in May, HYBE came to me with a negotiation proposal saying, ‘We will give you money. Take it and leave’. But I rejected it because money was not my goal,” said Min Hee Jin .
In the same chat, Hee Jin also alleged that his removal as CEO of ADOR, which took place on August 27 of this year, was a “public execution” of an executive of a subsidiary company for “openly disobeying” the wishes of the parent company. Currently, the agency has Kim Joo Youngan HR (human resources) specialist, in the position of executive director of the company.
The new statements were responded to by HYBE, which states that money was never offered to Min Hee Jin with the aim of her leaving her position, and that the dismissal took place in a fair and legal manner, as the decision was taken after an internal audit that included reliable evidence.
It is worth remembering that, following a request from NewJeans, last Thursday, the 25th, ADOR revealed that Min Hee Jin she could be appointed internal director, but not as CEO, as the group members requested. Therefore, the new position “is still uncertain”, as representatives of the businesswoman stated in a statement released yesterday.
