Following rumors that the members of THE BOYZ were planning to leave the company, IST Entertainment has spoken out on the matter.
On Monday, the 23rd, the South Korean portal TenAsia reported that, with the end of their contracts approaching, the members of THE BOYZ were planning to leave IST Entertainment, the company responsible for managing their careers, and were already looking for a new agency.
The publication points out that the group would be prioritizing companies that provide a transparent system and align with its musical vision, in addition to the fact that negotiations with a specific agency, whose name was not revealed, would already be in their final stage.
According to TenAsia, Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, JuHaknyeon, Sunwoo and Eric are committed to staying together and so discussions would be focused on opportunities for everyone to continue evolving as one.
Following the publication of the report, IST Entertainment issued a brief statement, saying, “THE BOYZ’s exclusive contract has not yet expired. We plan to continue discussions with the members.” None of the boy group members have commented on the matter.
It is worth remembering that, currently, THE BOYZ would also be preparing to make their next comeback, scheduled to be released in October. Their most recent release took place in March 2024, with the album “[PHANTASY] Pt.3 Love Letter”. Check out the video for the title track “Nectar”!
