With the success of One Piece for over 20 years, an Instagram user recreated the anime characters as if they were from Pixar; check it out!
It is already a fact that “One Piece” is one of the most well-known stories in Eastern pop culture. Whether through streaming screens or manga pages, the fan base has remained solid since the early 2000s, winning over more and more audiences both because of its complex plot and the number of episodes and characters.
With the success of over 20 years, added to the positive response from fans to the Netflix live-action based on the original story, a post from the “benmornin” profile on Instagram recreated some of the most memorable characters from the Straw Hat Pirates as if they were part of a Pixar animation.
In the images, you can see Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji and Coby with a much more childish style than we are used to seeing in the anime. In addition, the background of each image is reminiscent of the clouds on the wallpaper in Andy’s room in the film “Toy Story”; check it out!

In “One Piece”, we follow the young pirate Monkey D. Luffy, who gained rubber-like powers after eating a “devil fruit”. The plot follows his ambition to become the greatest pirate in the world along with his group, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they search for the One Piece, the most sought-after treasure in the land. The work was written by Eiichiro Oda and, since the late 2000s, it has been recognized as the most popular manga in Japan.
The series, which hit Netflix in August 2023, only covered the first arc of the original series, East Blue, which will continue in the next episodes, scheduled to premiere between mid and late 2025.
