Ukraine should understand that “for some time” some territories of Ukraine will remain under Russian occupation, Pavel believes.
Ukraine must understand that after the war, “for a certain period of time” some of its territories may remain under Russian control. Czech President Petr Pavel said this in an interview with The New York Times.
According to him, Ukraine “must look realistic” in returning the territories occupied by Russia.
“The most likely outcome of the war is one in which part of the Ukrainian territory is under Russian occupation, extending over time,” Pavel said, adding that such a state, “defined by hours,” can take years.
According to the Czech President, at the moment it is impossible to talk about either the defeat of Ukraine or the defeat of Russia, “so the end of the war can be seen somewhere in the middle.”
Let’s recall that Pavel previously said that there are several options for ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.
According to the Czech President, the Ukrainian-Russian war will not end in the near future, because neither Russia nor Ukraine will achieve their goals.
