10 iconic BTS choreographies

Check out some of the choreographies performed by RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, V, Suga and J-Hope from BTS that are impossible to forget

With both physical and psychological benefits, dancing is more than just a physical activity, it is also a form of artistic expression widely used to convey emotions and translate the feelings that songs carry with movements — so much so that, in addition to singing, many artists also invest in learning choreography so that their tracks gain even more impact on stage.

Among these are the members of BTS, since in k-pop dance is a fundamental element, which is why RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, V, Sucks and J-Hope They spend hours and hours in practice rooms so that, when they are in the spotlight of shows and TV programs, they can present clean choreographies to ARMYs, with precise and synchronized movements.

Furthermore, even though the dance line is made up of J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkookall members strive to perform the steps created by the likes of Son Sungdeuk and the couple Keone and Mari Madrid with mastery, generating impressive results that remain forever etched in the minds and hearts of fans.

With that in mind, RECREIO has put together a list of 10 remarkable choreographies (in random order) by BTS to get to know or remember; check it out:

1. Fire

Released on May 2, 2016, the title track of “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever” is “Fire”, whose choreography was created by Keone and Mari Madrid is full of jumps.


2. Dope

Also from Keone and Mari Madrid“Dope”, from the album “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.1” (2015) is another choreography whose chorus steps stick in your head.


3. I Need U

Another track from “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.1”, the song “I Need U” had its steps created by Son Sungdeukeven earning the group the award for Best Male Dance at the 2015 MelOn Music Awards.


4. DNA

Appearing once again among BTS’s choreographies, Keone and Mari Madrid were also responsible for “DNA”, a track from the 2017 album “Love Yourself: Her”, whose movement of the middle and index fingers tapping the wrist became symbols for the track’s title.


5. Blood, Sweat and Tears

Contributing to the dark and sexy concept of “Blood, Sweat and Tears”, Keone and Mari Madrid joined the choreographer Christopher Martin to create steps from the track that appears on the album “Wings” (2016) and on the repackage album “You Never Walk Alone” (2017).


6. War of Hormone

With movements similar to those used by Michael Jacksonslow-motion walks and piggyback rides, the choreography for “War of Hormone” is one of the group’s most fun. The steps were created by Son Sungdeuk.


7. Boy in Luv

J-Hope jumping over the head of RM? Yes! The choreography for “Boy in Luv” from the album “Skool Luv Affair” (2014) was created by David Lim and is full of surprises.


8. Not Today

Hit makers in the choreography industry Keone and Mari Madrid They are also responsible for the steps in “Not Today”, a track from the album “You Never Walk Alone” (2017).


9. MIC Drop

Co-creation of Rie Hata and Lyle Benigathe choreography of “MIC Drop”, a track remixed by Steve Aoki and Designeralso has a specific movement for the song title. Remember above!


10. Go Go

From the album “Love Yourself: Her”, the track “Go Go” also has super fun moves! In addition, the dance practice is a show in itself, as the members appear dressed as characters from the Disney animation “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.


EXTRA: Boy Meets Evil

The first track on “Wings”, “Boy Meets Evil” is a solo by J-Hope. The powerful choreography was created by Dylan Mayoral and became one of the highlights of MAMA 2016.
