Home of artists such as Roséfrom BLACKPINK and Taeyangfrom BIGBANG, YG Entertainment’s sub-label, THEBLACKLABEL, is about to debut the label’s first girl group: MEOVV, a formation whose concept will revolve around cats and will introduce five new idols to the world of K-pop.
The group is set to debut on September 6, 2024, with the single “MEOW” and, in preparation for the long-awaited debut, RECREIO has gathered below all the information already known about Gawon, Sooin, Anna, Narin and Ellathe members of the set.
ELLA
The first member revealed, and also the group’s maknae, is Ella Gross. The idol was introduced on August 21st through a concept trailer accompanied by the phrase: “I don’t remember anything, except where I was going. That’s why I just got here.” Remember!
Ellawhose birthday is on December 1st, will turn 16 in 2024, but joined the agency at age 10, having signed with the company in 2018. Like this Gawon, Kim Sooin was born in April 2005, but on the 12th, thus becoming the oldest member of MEOVV. She, who is South Korean, has Daegu as her hometown.
A student at the School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA), he is a classmate of Dahyun and Go Eun-I from Rocket Punch, and stands out for her skill as a dancer, as seen in the presentation trailer.
ANNA

NARIN
Fifth and final member presented, the video of Narin was released on August 29 with the caption: “I happened to get a cool item from a vending machine, so I found myself in my backyard.”
She was born on August 15, 2007 in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea and her nickname is Lyn. First daughter of her family, the trainee, as well as Ellahas a younger brother.
The artist, who speaks three languages (Korean, English and Japanese), also has another thing in common with the maknae: she is a big fan of BLACKPINK and has Jennie as bias.
