Find out what GFRIEND’s Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB and Umji have been up to since their contract with Source Music ended
Integrating the third generation of k-pop, the group GFRIEND debuted on January 16, 2015 with the EP “Season of Glass”, under Source Music, current subsidiary of HYBE Labels, allowing k-pop fans to get to know Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB and Umjithe six members that make up the formation.
In six years on the road, the sextet gave voice to extremely popular tracks in the world of South Korean pop, such as “Me Gustas Tu”, from the album “Flower Bud” (2015), “Rough”, from the EP Snowflake (2016), “Navillera”, from the group’s first studio album, “LOL” (2016), and “MAGO”, which belongs to the last album released by the group: “Walpurgis Night” (2020).
It turns out that in 2021, Source Music announced that the six idols of GFRIEND decided not to renew their contracts with the company, culminating in the end of the group’s activities. Although the members claim that this was not the end of the formation, since then, there has been no further release with all of them, thus arising the question: where are the members of GFRIEND?

Sowon
Sowon now promotes her career as an actress, being credited as Kim Sowon. Her acting debut was in the web drama “오싹한동거” (“My Creepy Roommate” in the English title). After leaving Source Music, she signed with IOK Company, but as of November 15, 2022, she is under the schedule of OUI Entertainment.
The idol’s upcoming projects are “Miss Granny”, a remake of the 2014 film of the same name, and the K-drama “4:44”, both of which have yet to be released. She is also an MC in Sprinkling Doni Full-Fledged Idol.
Yerin
Under Sublime Artist Agency, with whom he signed a contract on June 17, 2021, Yerin debuted as a soloist on May 18, 2022, with the mini album “ARIA”, which has the song of the same name as the album’s title track. Watch the MV!
She officially left Sublime Artist Agency on March 31, 2023, and joined Bill Entertainment on April 14, 2023, the label through which she released “Ready, Set, Love”, a mini-album that since August 23 of last year has been found on music streaming platforms with “Bambambam” as the title track.
Yuju
Yuju signed an exclusive contract with KONNECT Entertainment on September 1, 2021, and debuted as a soloist on January 18, 2022, with the mini album “Rec.”
She, who also gave voice to the OSTs “Falling” (from Run On OST Part.10), “Comfort” (from Bossam- Steal The Fate OST Part.11) and “Stay” (from Police University OST Part.5), all released in 2021, has as her most recent release of her career as a soloist the mini album “O”, which premiered on March 7, 2023) featuring the track “Without U” as the lead single.
Eunha, SinB and Umji
Eunha, SinB and Umji signed a contract with BPM Entertainment on October 6, 2021, and have since performed together as the girl group VIVIZ.
They, who debuted under the new formation with the mini-album “Beam of Prism”, released on February 9, 2022, have as their most recent comeback the mini-album “VERSUS”, released in November 2023 with an MV for the title track “MANIAC”. Remember:
