After it was confirmed that Jamie Lee Curtis will not play Dr. Kureha in season 2 of ‘One Piece: The Series’, fans shared different reactions
On Wednesday, the 21st, “One Piece” fans were surprised by Netflix with the long-awaited announcement of who would be the actress responsible for playing the character Dr. Kureha in the live-action series. According to the platform, Katey Segal (Sons of Anarchy) will play Tony Tony Chopper’s mentor.

The confirmation ended up generating different reactions on social media, mainly because, for months, fans of the franchise have been asking for another actress to be responsible for playing Dr. Kureha in the series: Jamie Lee Curtisknown for roles such as “Freaky Friday” and “Everything Everywhere at Once”.
In fact, in an interview with Deadline in 2023, the showrunner of the live-action produced by Netflix, Matt Owensrevealed that the team was also interested in casting Curtis as the character.
