Find out who are the artists who have already sued the YouTube channel “Sojang”, known for making unfounded accusations against K-pop idols
Last Thursday, the 16th, the South Korean media reported that V and Jungkookof BTS, are suing the YouTube channel “Sojang”, which is known for making baseless accusations against K-pop idols, resulting in hate speech from netizens directed at the groups and artists involved in the videos.
According to Sportskeeda, the two BTS members filed the lawsuit in March of this year, with the first hearing scheduled for August 23. However, rumors about the channel began to circulate in 2021, leading even Big Hit Music to get involved in the lawsuit a year later.
During this period, other artists also sued the “Sojang” channel, including Xiuminfrom EXO, Jang Wonyoungfrom IVE, and Kang Danielcurrent soloist and former Wanna One. In the case of Wonyoungshe sued the channel for defamation and insults, obtaining a court victory with a compensation of ₩100,000,000.00 (one hundred million South Korean Won).
In June 2023, the identity of the person responsible for the videos was revealed, and the YouTuber, entitled Park Joo Ahmade an apology on the Nate Pann platform, acknowledging his responsibility and saying he was “sorry for everyone who was harmed”:

Already in May of this year, Park Joo Ah was spotted by Dispatch as he headed to his defamation trial against Kang Daniel. This time, according to South Korean portal News Naver, prosecutors in the case requested a fine of ₩3,000,000.00 (three million South Korean Won).
