In 2025, broadcaster Mnet will launch “Planet B”, another project focused on debuting a boy group in the Korean pop industry.
On Monday, the 29th, the South Korean company CJ ENM announced that, in 2025, the broadcaster Mnet will launch a new project entitled “Planet B”, where the objective will be to create a new boy group that “will dominate the global music market by storm.”
According to the official announcement (via Entertain Naver), “Planet B” will be a survival show that will follow the journey of several “hidden artists” around the world, regardless of their nationality. The show’s production team also plans to show the recruitment process to the public, which is normally done privately:
We plan to showcase the recruitment process to the public, which is usually done privately in a prequel to the program. Through this project, the next generation of aspiring K-pop artists can showcase their potential before their official debut on the program. We will present viewers with a sense of challenge by offering immersive entertainment, where viewers can also help discover hidden talents.”
