After the repercussion of the article about the use of AI in SEVENTEEN’s songs, Woozi, member and producer, spoke out on the subject
Last week, the British portal BBC shared an article about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in k-pop, where, in part of the text, it stated that Woozimember and main producer of SEVENTEEN, would use technology to create the boygroup’s songs.
The matter soon gained great repercussion, with CARATs, fans of the group, accusing the media outlet of distorting the comment made by the idol. According to the admirers, at the press conference where Woozimentioned the subject, he would have said that he has already explored AI to understand its positive and negative points, however, without specifying that the practice would be linked to the composition of music.
Last Sunday, 14th, Woozi spoke out via Instagram Stories, where he wrote in English and Korean: “All SEVENTEEN songs are written and composed by human creators.”

In addition to the artist, PLEDIS Entertainment, the company responsible for managing SEVENTEEN’s career, also spoke out about the controversy. Through a spokesperson (via Soompi), the agency said: “It is not true that AI was used in the lyrics of SEVENTEEN’s songs.”
In the statement, PLEDIS also states that a request was sent for the information to be corrected. The article has now been changed.
