SAPO prosecutors and NABU detectives exposed a representative of the Ukrainian people who sought undue benefits for not obstructing the repair work of infrastructure facilities in the Sumy region. The Town Deputy was declared suspected of committing crimes under Part 4 of Art. 368 and part 3 of Art. 27, part 4 art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Law enforcement officials exposed a Ukrainian MP who demanded a bribe for not interfering with the repair of infrastructure facilities.
According to the investigation, the deputy demanded 14% of the amount of funds distributed for the repair of the water supply system in the Akhtyrsky district. Of these, 10% will be transferred to him personally, and 4% to local law enforcement officials to prevent the disbursement of funds. In total, we are talking about UAH 3.4 million.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure is currently being decided.
Law enforcement is also identifying other people involved in this crime.
Currently, the name of the people’s representative is not disclosed, however, according to the Interfax-Ukraine agency, we are talking about the people’s choice of the IX Address, Nikolai Zadorozhny.
Let us remind you that the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 200 million for the suspect in the case of bribery of the former chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
Earlier, law enforcement officials detained an official of Ukrzaliznytsia in Kyiv demanding a bribe of 10 million hryvnias.
