The new film in the X-Men franchise will have the screenwriter of the last Hunger Games film responsible for telling the story of the heroes
Michael Lesslie, screenwriter of “The Hunger Games: A Song of Birds and Snakes”, will be responsible for the script for the new film in the X-Men franchise in the MCU. The film does not yet have a definitive director or official release date, but Kevin Feigepresident of Marvel Studios, has already been confirmed as producer of the feature film (via Deadline).
Last week, on May 15, Disney also confirmed that streaming will continue with the production of the animation “X-Men 97” with Marvel. The continuation of the cartoon broadcast in the 90s generated great appreciation among fans, causing Beau DeMayo, creator of the series, revealed his plans for the future of the story through social media. In the post, he answers a question from an internet user, saying that he intends to extend it into five seasons:
“Thank you. I would like you to figure out the answer to this on your own. But I will also say that I have a five-season plan,” the creator wrote in the post.

The new version of the cartoon is a direct continuation of the 5th season, which had its last episode released in 1997. With the new chapters, the plot revisits its past, when the X-Men, a group of mutants who use their gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, they are forced to face a dangerous and unexpected future. The first season is available on Disney+.
