Ukrposhta released new stamps with embroidery elements from the Kharkov region and Crimea. This was announced by the company’s general director Igor Smilyansky.
“A few years ago, Ukrposhta started a series with embroidered stamps from the regions of Ukraine. And now we will continue it with two very special stamps: one with embroidery originally from Kharkov region, one has a sample of Crimean Tatar embroidery ,” Smilyansky wrote.
According to him, examples of ancient traditional embroidery from the National Museum of Ukrainian Folk Decorative Arts were taken as a basis.
Smilyansky also noted that every detail here was created according to the clear principles of local craftsmen.
