Inspired by ‘The Addams Family’ comics created by Charles Samuel AddamsNetflix launched “Wandinha”, a series that follows the eldest daughter of this macabre family with unconventional humor, following her in an attempt to unravel a mystery that surrounds Escola Nunca Mais as she discovers more about her psychic powers.
The first eight episodes were directed by Tim Burton and became a success, and due to high public approval, the plot was renewed for a second season. Discover everything that is already known about the second year of production below:
Who joins the cast?
For the new batch of episodes, fans of the production can expect new faces. This because, Steve Buscemi (Fargo), Thadiwe Newton (Westworld), Billie Piper (Doctor Who), Noah Taylor (Preacher), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the future), Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), Haley Joel Osment (The sixth Sense), Frances O’Connor (The Conjuring 2) and Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries), are the new names confirmed for the cast of the second season.
In addition to them, the public will notice the returns of Hunter Doohanas Tyler Galpin, Emma Myers in the role of Enid Sinclair, Joy Sunday like Bianca Barclay, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzman bringing Gomez Addams to life, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester and Jenna Ortega playing the protagonist of the story again.

Still, names from the first year were discarded for the new season. What will the plot be?
The plot of the new episodes has not yet been revealed. However, Jenna Ortega said in an interview with E! Entertainment (via Deadline), that although the comedic vein of the series remains, the second season will have more horror and action elements, as well as being laid out differently, as each episode will function as a unique film.
I got a few scripts for season two, and we’re definitely leaning towards a little more horror. It’s very, very exciting, because Wandinha never changes throughout the plot, and that’s what’s most wonderful about her. We have some very funny moments, but I think everything is more epic. We have a lot more action. And I think each episode will be like a little movie, which is cool,” said Jenna Ortega.
Furthermore, Miles Millarone of the series’ creators, told IndieWire in a chat that Wandinha’s Latin heritage will also be explored in the second year.

When does filming start?
