“Nothing to announce,” says Anne Hathaway about ‘The Princess Diaries 3’

Fans of the ‘Princess Diaries’ franchise will have to wait a little longer to find out news about the second sequel to the film released in 2001. This is because, according to the interpreter of Mia Thermopolis, Anne Hathawaythere is still no information to disclose to the public about the plot.

We are in a good position. That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet, but we’re in a good place,” said the actress in an interview with V Magazine (via Deadline and Omelete).

It is worth remembering that ‘The Princess Diaries 3’ was confirmed in 2022, almost two decades after the arrival of the first sequel in the franchise, ‘The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Wedding’ (2004). In an interview with People magazine during her appearance at the Sundance Film Festival last year, Hathaway commented on the delay in confirming the new production.

With script signed by Aadrita Mukerji‘The Princess Diaries 3’ will feature the production of DebraMartin Chase, producer of the first two films. The film does not yet have a director.
