Why doesn’t “Operation Big Hero” have a sequel? Producer explains

In an interview with ScreenRant, Roy Conli, producer of “Big Hero” explained why the animation, released in 2014, has not yet received a sequel

“Operação Big Hero”, one of Disney’s most beloved productions, turns 10 years old in 2024. In a recent interview with ScreenRant (via Jovem Nerd), Roy Conliproducer of the animation, finally explained why the film did not receive a sequel during almost a decade.

“It’s really up to Don [Hall, produtor do longa] decide if he wants to make a sequel. It was his concept and idea. I always secretly encourage him to do it, but we’ll see,” the filmmaker revealed.

Due to his impressive work on “Operation Big Hero” in 2015, Don Hallproducer mentioned in the answer Conli, won the Oscar for “Best Animated Film”. In addition, the filmmaker was also involved in other Disney productions, such as “Moana” and “Strange World”.

It is worth remembering that “Operação Big Hero” is based on the Marvel Comics comic book entitled “Big Hero 6”, as the English title of the film is called. The animation tells the story of Hiro Hamada and his robot Baymax, who join a group of friends to form a team of superheroes.
