The actor, who plays Iron Man on the big screen, revealed in a recent interview whether he would reprise his role in the MCU
In a recent interview with Esquire, Robert Downey Jr, responsible for bringing Iron Man to life in the Marvel films, commented on whether or not he would return to the studios. It is worth remembering that the actor ended his participation in the universe in 2019, with “Avengers: Endgame”, where his character dies.
Due to this, many fans thought that his character would not return to the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). However, during the interview, Downey said that if they called him, he would reprise his character once again. Look!
[Eu voltaria para o MCU] happily. It’s a part of what makes up my DNA. This role [Homem de Ferro] chose me. And I always say: never bet against Kevin Feige. It’s a losing contest. He is the house, and the house always wins”, revealed the actor (via Jovem Nerd).
However, in December 2023, the filmmaker Kevin Feigestated that Iron Man Downey will not be resurrected in the new Marvel films, much to the dismay of fans. According to him, the character’s death was a precious moment in the MCU, so it won’t change.
It is worth remembering that, in Brazil, all films and series that are part of the MCU and have Downey in the cast, are available through the Disney+ streaming service.
