It is known that the documents and coins are preserved in the container, the oldest of which the dates from 1650.
Among the treasures were four parchment documents, five gold, 26 silver and four copper coins. Most important is the Dutaca of 1621 and the Thaler of the 1607, released by Duke George Rudolf Lleznitsky.
The found indicated that the capsule had been replenished several times – in 1775 and 1823, new coins and documents were added to it, in particular, the times of Friedrich II of Prussian and Polish king of August III.
According to the director of the Legery Museum, Marcin Makukh, this capsule is older than all previously known in the world, including American (1761) and Polish (1716, 1726).
The treasures will be displayed at the first time on September 19 at a special Cathedral exhibition.
