Yevgeny Nishchuk directed the Ivan Franko National Theater

Theater and film actor, People’s Artist of Ukraine Yevgeny Nishchuk was appointed general director of the Ivan Franko Theater.

Evgeniy Nishchuk was appointed General Director – Artistic Director of the National Academic Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko. It was reported by Ukrinform.

It is known that he replaced Mikhail Zakharevich in this post, who will be 74 in September. He holds this post since 2018.

As for the new CEO, he served twice as the Minister of Culture of Ukraine – from February 27 to December 2, 2014 and from April 14, 2016 to August 29, 2019.

Participated in battles in Kyiv, Nikolaev and Kherson regions in 2022.

Since 2023, Nishchuk has been the head of the Committee for the National Taras Shevchenko Award. He has been working at the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater since 2015. He started his acting career at the Kyiv Academic Theater Art Workshop “Constellation”.

Earlier it was reported that the 31-year-old actor of the Rivne Regional Music and Drama Theater Vladimir Fedinchuk died on the front.
