Visitors will be able to see parts of Balmoral Castle for the first time this summer. Tours will be available from July 1 to August 4.
Britain’s King Charles III allows tours of the rooms at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where his mother Elizabeth II died. The Sun reported it.
It is known that this is the first time that tourists will be allowed to enter the rooms used by the royal family and which has been their home for 170 years.
Rooms to be visited are expected to include the drawing room where the late Queen was last photographed with former Prime Minister Liz Truss. However, the monarch’s bedroom is expected to be closed to the public.
Only 40 tickets will be given away each day, priced at £100 and £150 with tea included. Tickets to visit the castle can be purchased from July 1 to August 4 on the estate’s website.
“You can learn the history of the castle’s origins and how much it was loved by the Royal Family. Travel back in time from the acquisition of Balmoral by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert to the present day. You can see how the rooms in the castle are used today of the King and Queen and other members of the Royal Family”, the website said.
It was previously reported that King Charles III, who is being treated for cancer, appeared at the Easter service.
