In an interview, Kristen Stewart defends Bella’s actions in ‘Twilight’

During her appearance on a podcast, Kristen Stewart commented on how she would act if she were in Bella’s place in “Twilight”

To the delight of fans of the Twilight saga, Kristen Stewart, the protagonist of the films, spoke about his character in a recent interview with a podcast (via Omelete). The actress went to the program to promote her new project, “Love Lies Bleeding: O Amor Sangra”, when she was asked by the presenter Amanda Hirschif you still like your character.

“Do I like her? I don’t know if you know who you’re talking to!”, commented the actress, jokingly, just before defending Bella.

Hirsch then stated that, in the films, Bella seemed desperate to be with Edward, a character from Robert Pattinson and romantic couple Stewart in the saga, and the actress spared no effort to defend her most successful character.

“Yes, but he was somehow trying to control whether or not she should make her own choices on her own. I would have broken up with him immediately,” the actress said.

The films “Twilight (2008)”, “New Moon (2009)”, “Eclipse (2010)”, “Breaking Dawn — Part 1 (2011)” and “Breaking Dawn — Part 2 (2012)” were inspired by a series of books by the author Stephenie Meyer. Together, all the films in the saga grossed around US$3.3 billion.

It is worth noting that all films in the saga are available through the Netflix and Telecine streaming services.
