20 countries joined the Czech initiative to find and buy artillery ammunition for Ukraine.
The Czech government has allocated additional funds for the purchase of ammunition for Ukraine. Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced this, Slovenské noviny reports.
The head of the Czech government did not name the amount of the amount approved by officials on Wednesday, March 27.
Fiala noted that only 20 countries have joined the initiative. According to him, the country’s ammunition initiative is bearing fruit and influencing the fighting in Ukraine.
The Czech Foreign Ministry assured that the number of artillery ammunition that can be transferred to Ukraine is not limited.
As reported, 20 countries have pledged to fund the purchase of the shells. This includes Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, France and Norway, as well as non-European allies such as Canada. As the Czech Republic discovers available munitions around the world, other countries provide the necessary funds. The Czech Republic then coordinated the delivery to Ukraine.
